The SSC has announced a total of 7948 vacancies for the posts of Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) and Havaldar in various Central Government departments. The category-wise and post-wise distribution is provisional and based on the official notification.

The following eligibility norms must be met as of 01 August 2025.

1. Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India.

2. Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed the Matriculation (10th) examination or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board or university. No experience is required.

3. Age Limit:

Age Relaxation: SSC provides age relaxation as per Government of India norms for candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-Servicemen). The exact details of relaxation are specified in the official notification PDF.

The selection of candidates for SSC MTS and Havaldar posts will be based on a multi-stage process:

1. Computer Based Examination (CBT): This is a single online objective test. Candidates must qualify for the minimum cutoff marks.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standard Test (PST): Applicable only for the Havaldar post. Candidates who qualify in the CBT will be called for PET/PST based on merit.
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce all original certificates, mark sheets, and other required documents for verification.

Marking Scheme: Each question carries 3 marks. For every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted as negative marking. There is no penalty for unanswered questions.
