• Screening Test (Objective): Preliminary examination to shortlist candidates. The test consists of multiple-choice questions on General Studies, Teaching Aptitude, and subject-specific knowledge.
• Main Examination (Written): Descriptive papers covering the relevant subject and General Hindi/English. The main exam is conducted for candidates who qualify the screening test.
• Interview (Personality Test): Candidates who clear the main exam will be called for an interview to assess teaching aptitude, communication skills, and overall suitability.
• Final Merit: Based on combined marks of Main Examination and Interview (screening test is qualifying in nature).

Interview: 50 marks (or as per UPPSC norms). Final selection based on Main Exam (250) + Interview (50) = 300 marks.

• Subject Knowledge: Post-graduate level syllabus of the relevant discipline (e.g., Hindi Literature, English Literature, Mathematics, Physics, etc.) as per UGC/UP state curriculum.
• General Studies: Indian Polity, History & Culture of UP, Geography, Economy, Current Affairs, Environment & Ecology.
• Teaching Aptitude: Teaching methods, learning psychology, evaluation techniques, classroom management.
• General Hindi: व्याकरण, निबंध, अनुच्छेद लेखन, संधि-विच्छेद, पर्यायवाची, विलोम शब्द।
• General English: Grammar, essay, precis writing, comprehension, vocabulary.

Admit cards for the screening test will be released on the official UPPSC website (uppsc.up.nic.in) before the exam date. Candidates must download their admit card using their registration number and date of birth. Results for screening test, main exam, and final selection will be announced progressively. Keep checking the UPPSC portal for updates.

• Step 1: Visit the official UPPSC website: https://uppsc.up.nic.in/ and click on the “Apply Online” link for Advertisement No. A-6/E-1/2025.
• Step 2: Log in using your One Time Registration (OTR) credentials (Registration Number and Password).
• Step 3: After logging in, you will see the “Modify Application” option (available only during 17–27 March 2026).
• Step 4: Edit the fields that require correction – educational details, category, personal information, etc.
• Step 5: Upload revised documents (if needed) as per the specifications.
• Step 6: Review the modified application carefully and submit.
• Step 7: Take a printout of the updated application form for future reference.
