Educational Qualification (As on 01 August 2025):

• Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university established by law in India.
• The degree must be recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) or equivalent statutory body.
• Candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation are not eligible to apply. The degree must be completed by the cutoff date.
• Additional qualifications or diplomas in Education (like B.Ed) may be preferred or required as per the detailed official notification.

Additional Age Relaxation: For ex-servicemen and other special categories, relaxation will be as per Government of Bihar rules mentioned in the official notification.

The selection of candidates for the post of Assistant Education Development Officer will be based on the following stages:

1. Written Examination: This is the main screening stage. The exam will be objective type (Multiple Choice Questions). Candidates must qualify the written exam to proceed to the next stage. The exam pattern is detailed below.
2. Document Verification: Candidates who clear the written exam will be called for document verification. Original educational certificates, caste certificate (if applicable), domicile certificate, age proof, and other relevant documents must be produced.
3. Medical Examination: Finally, selected candidates will undergo a medical examination to ensure they are medically fit for the government service as per the prescribed standards.

Final Merit List: The final selection will be based on the marks obtained in the Written Examination only. Document verification and medical examination are qualifying in nature.

Admit Card Release: The BPSC AEDO Admit Card 2026 will be released approximately 10-15 days before the exam (expected in late March 2026). Candidates can download it using their Registration Number/Enrollment Number and Date of Birth from the official BPSC portal.

Steps to Download Admit Card:

1. Visit the official BPSC website bpsc.bihar.gov.in
2. Click on the "Admit Card" or "Download Hall Ticket" link for AEDO Exam 2025.
3. Enter your Application/Registration Number and Password/Date of Birth.
4. Submit the details. Your admit card will be displayed on the screen.
5. Verify all details (Name, Photo, Exam Date, Centre, etc.).
6. Download the PDF and take a printout. Carry it to the exam center along with a valid photo ID proof (Aadhar, Driving License, Voter ID, etc.).

Exam Centers: The examination will be conducted at various centers across all districts of Bihar. The exact center address will be mentioned on the admit card.

Result Declaration: The result of the written examination is expected to be declared within 2-3 months after the conduction of the exam. The result will be published on the BPSC website in PDF format containing the roll numbers of shortlisted candidates.

Candidates who qualify the written exam will be called for document verification in the order of merit. The detailed schedule and venue will be notified separately.

Joining: After successful document verification and medical examination, appointment letters will be issued. Candidates will be posted as Assistant Education Development Officer in various districts of Bihar as per administrative requirements.

The post of Assistant Education Development Officer is a prestigious Group-B position under the Bihar Education Service. The pay scale and benefits are as per the 7th Pay Commission recommendations of the Bihar Government.

• Pay Scale: Level-7 (₹ 44,900 - ₹ 1,42,400) (As per Bihar Government rules)
• Basic Pay: Approximately ₹ 44,900/- per month (at initial stage)
• Gross Salary: Approximately ₹ 55,000 - ₹ 65,000 per month (including allowances)

2. Click on the "Registration" link for new users. If already registered, log in with your credentials.
3. Complete the registration by providing basic details (Name, Mobile, Email, etc.). A Registration ID and Password will be generated.
4. Log in using the Registration ID and Password.
5. Fill out the detailed application form carefully (Personal Details, Educational Qualifications, Address, etc.).
6. Upload scanned documents (Photograph, Signature, and other required certificates) in the prescribed format and size.
7. Preview the application form and verify all entered details.
8. Proceed to pay the application fee online through the available payment gateway.
9. After successful fee payment, submit the final application form.
10. Download and print the submitted application form for future reference and document verification.
