The selection of candidates is a three-stage process:

1. Written Examination: A computer-based online test conducted on 26 October 2025. It served as the first screening stage. The exam pattern is detailed below.
2. Shortlisting: Based on the performance in the written exam, candidates are shortlisted for the interview. The result declared on 30 Jan 2026 contains this shortlist.
3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview. The interview assesses technical knowledge, aptitude, and suitability for a research & development organization.

Final Merit: The final selection is based on the combined performance in the Written Examination and Interview. The exact weightage is as per ISRO norms (typically 80% for written exam and 20% for interview).

Marking Scheme:

• Part-A (Technical): +3 marks for correct answer, -1 mark for wrong answer.
• Part-B (Aptitude): +1.5 marks for correct answer, -0.5 mark for wrong answer.
• Unanswered questions carry zero marks.

ISRO ICRB Result 2026: The result has been declared in the form of a PDF list of roll numbers of shortlisted candidates for the interview on the ISRO ICRB portal. Candidates may also need to login to the application portal to view their individual scorecard showing marks obtained in Part-A and Part-B.
