A. Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India.

B. Age Limit (as on 01 January 2026):

C. Educational Qualification (as on 02 March 2026):

• Passed 10th class (High School) from a recognized board OR
• Passed 10th class + ITI from NCVT/SCVT recognized institution OR
• Possess a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

D. Age Relaxation:

The selection of candidates will be based on a four-stage process:

1. Computer Based Test - First Stage (CBT-1): Online objective test of 100 marks. Candidates will be shortlisted for PET based on normalized scores.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Qualifying test with physical standards (lifting, walking/running). Standards differ for male and female candidates.
3. Document Verification (DV): Verification of all original documents, certificates, and photographs.
4. Medical Examination: Detailed medical check-up to ensure fitness for the specific railway post.

Final Merit: The final merit list will be prepared only on the basis of marks obtained in CBT-1, subject to qualifying in PET, DV, and Medical Examination.

Marking Scheme: +1 mark for correct answer, -1/3 mark for wrong answer (negative marking). Unanswered questions carry zero marks.

Exam Language: Question paper available in 15 languages including Hindi, English, Urdu, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, etc.

Admit Card: The admit card for CBT-1 will be available for download on the respective RRB websites 10-15 days before the exam. Candidates must download it using Registration Number and Date of Birth/Password.

Exam Centres: The Computer Based Test will be conducted in various centres across all states and union territories. Candidates can select their preferred exam city during application.

Result: Results for each stage (CBT, PET) will be published on the official RRB websites. Candidates can check their result and download scorecards by logging into their application portal.
