The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has officially released a major recruitment notification for the year 2026. This recruitment drive aims to fill 10,644 vacancies for the posts of Clerk Grade-II and Junior Assistant across various state government departments and boards. The application process will be conducted entirely online via the SSO Rajasthan portal. Interested candidates must carefully review the detailed eligibility criteria, application dates, and selection process outlined below.

Note: Candidates must confirm all dates from the official RSSB website. The exam date is tentative and subject to change.

The 10,644 vacancies are distributed across different government departments and are categorized into TSP (Tribal Sub-Plan) and Non-TSP areas.

Payment Mode: Online payment only through Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Card, or Mobile Wallet.

1. Educational Qualification (As per Official Notification):

• Passed 12th (Senior Secondary) examination from any recognized board in India.
• Mandatory Computer Qualification: Must possess any one of the following:
  • NIELIT 'O' Level / CCC Certificate
  • COPA / DPCS Certificate
  • Diploma / Degree / Certificate in Computer Science or Computer Application
  • 12th Standard with Computer as a subject
  • Polytechnic Diploma in Computer Science
  • RSCIT (Rajasthan State Certificate in Information Technology)
  • Any other equivalent Government recognized computer qualification.
• Working knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script and general knowledge of Rajasthan's culture is essential.

2. Age Limit (As on 01 January 2027):

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 40 Years

Age Relaxation: Applicable as per the Rajasthan government rules and regulations. The exact details of relaxation for SC, ST, OBC, PwD, etc., should be confirmed from the official notification PDF.

The selection for RSSB Clerk Jr-II/Junior Assistant posts will be based on the following stages:

1. Common Eligibility Test (CET) Score: Selection will be based on the scores obtained by candidates in the Rajasthan CET (Senior Secondary Level)-2024 exam, which was conducted earlier. The scorecards were issued on 17 February 2025.
2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates based on CET scores will be called for verification of all original documents (educational certificates, caste certificate, computer qualification, etc.).
3. Final Merit List: A final merit list will be prepared based on CET scores and the verification process. Departmental allocation will be done based on this merit and the priority choices filled by candidates during application.

Since the selection is based on the CET-2024 scores, the exam pattern for that test is provided below for reference.

Marking Scheme: +2 marks for each correct answer. There is no mention of negative marking in the official notification for the CET.

Detailed Syllabus:

• General Knowledge & Rajasthan Culture: Current Affairs, Indian History, Geography, Polity, Economy, General Science, Important Dates & Events, Rajasthan's History, Geography, Culture, Art, Literature, Festivals, and Important Personalities.
• Mathematics & Mental Ability: Number System, Simplification, Average, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion, Profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Work, Speed & Distance, Fundamental Arithmetic Operations, Logical Reasoning, Analogy, Classification, Series.
• General Hindi: Grammar (संज्ञा, सर्वनाम, क्रिया, विशेषण), मुहावरे एवं लोकोक्तियाँ, पर्यायवाची, विलोम शब्द, वर्तनी, वाक्य संरचना, अपठित गद्यांश।
• General English: Grammar (Tenses, Articles, Prepositions, Voice, Narration), Vocabulary (Synonyms, Antonyms), Sentence Structure, Comprehension Passage.

1. Visit the official Rajasthan SSO Portal: https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in.
2. If you are a new user, complete the One Time Registration (OTR) by providing basic details and paying the required OTR fee. You will get an SSO ID.
3. Log in with your SSO ID and password.
4. Navigate to 'Citizen Apps (G2C)' and select the 'Recruitment Portal'.
5. Find the link for "RSSB Clerk Jr-II/Junior Assistant Recruitment 2026 (Advt. No. 04/2026)" and click on 'Apply Now'.
6. Enter your CET (Senior Secondary)-2024 Application Number. The system will verify it with the CET database.
7. Fill in all required personal, educational, and preference details carefully. Select your department preferences in order of priority.
8. Upload scanned copies of required documents (photograph, signature, certificates) as per specified format and size.
9. Pay the application fee online through the available payment gateway.
10. Submit the form and take a printout of the final submitted application form for future reference.

• Admit Card: Since the selection is based on CET-2024, no new admit card will be issued for this recruitment. Candidates must have already appeared for that exam.
• Exam Centre: Not applicable for this recruitment cycle.
• Result & Merit List: The final merit list for the Clerk/Junior Assistant posts will be published on the official RSSB or recruitment portal after the document verification process. Candidates should regularly check the official website for updates.
• Counselling & Joining: Selected candidates will be allocated departments based on merit and preference. They will receive joining letters from their respective allocated departments after the completion of all formalities.
