The Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) has officially commenced the UP Polytechnic JEECUP 2026 admission process. This is the gateway for admission to various Diploma, Post Diploma, and PG Diploma courses in Engineering, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Management, and other streams across government and private polytechnic institutes in Uttar Pradesh. The online application window is open from 15 January 2026 to 30 April 2026. The JEECUP 2026 entrance exam is scheduled to be held from 15 to 22 May 2026. The following is a comprehensive list of Diploma, Post Diploma, and Post Graduate Diploma courses offered through JEECUP 2026. Seats are available in Government, Government-Aided, and Private Institutions across Uttar Pradesh.

Note: The exact seat matrix (number of seats institute-wise and course-wise) will be published by JEECUP during the counselling process. Candidates must choose their desired course group carefully while filling the application form.

Important: The application fee is non-refundable. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates must ensure their eligibility before payment.

Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India.
Domicile: For admission to government institutes and for reservation benefits, candidates must possess a valid Uttar Pradesh Domicile Certificate. However, candidates from other states can also apply for seats in private institutes and may be eligible for a limited number of open seats.

Not Mentioned in Official Notification. However, as per general practice for polytechnic diploma admissions, there is typically no upper age limit for most courses. Candidates must be at least 14 years of age as on 1st July 2026. For specific courses like Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, there might be age criteria. The basic eligibility for most Diploma courses is passing Class 10th (High School) examination from a recognized board. However, specific subject requirements vary:

• For Engineering/Technology Courses: Class 10th pass with Science (Physics, Chemistry) and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
• For Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma): Class 10th pass with Science (Physics, Chemistry) and Biology/Mathematics.
• For Other Diploma Courses (Fashion, HMCT, etc.): Class 10th pass from any recognized board.
• For Lateral Entry to Engineering Diploma (2nd Year):
  • Passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM); OR
  • Passed ITI (2 years duration) in a relevant trade from a recognized institute.
• For Post Graduate Diploma (PG Diploma) Courses: A Bachelor's degree in the relevant field from a recognized university.

Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in 2026 are also eligible to apply provisionally.

Reservation of seats for admission in Government and Government-Aided polytechnics will be as per the policy of the Government of Uttar Pradesh:

• Scheduled Castes (SC) of UP: 21%
• Scheduled Tribes (ST) of UP: 2%
• Other Backward Classes (OBC) of UP: 27%
• Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 10%
• Horizontal reservation for Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 5% (across all categories)
• Reservation for Women, Freedom Fighters, Armed Forces dependents as per state norms.

Valid caste/domicile certificates issued by the competent authority of Uttar Pradesh are mandatory to claim reservation.

Admission to all polytechnic courses under JEECUP is based on a Centralized Counselling Process conducted by the Council. The steps are as follows:

Final Merit: The rank in the entrance exam is the primary criterion for seat allotment. For lateral entry admissions, merit may be prepared based on marks in the qualifying exam (12th/ITI) if the entrance exam is not conducted for that group.

The entrance exam is conducted in multiple shifts over several days for different course groups. The pattern is objective type (MCQs).

For Diploma in Engineering Courses (Group A): The question paper is based on the Class 10th (High School) syllabus of UP Board/CBSE.

• Physics (25 Questions): Units & Measurements, Motion, Force & Laws of Motion, Gravitation, Work, Energy & Power, Light, Electricity, Magnetism, etc.
• Chemistry (25 Questions): Matter, Atomic Structure, Chemical Reactions, Acids, Bases & Salts, Metals & Non-metals, Carbon & its Compounds, Periodic Classification, etc.
• Mathematics (50 Questions): Number System, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Trigonometry, Statistics & Probability.

For Other Groups: The syllabus for Pharmacy includes Biology instead of Mathematics. For Management/Arts groups, questions are based on General Knowledge, Reasoning, General Hindi/English, and Elementary Mathematics.
